Andrew's 1st day at Goddard
Today was Drew's 1st day of summer camp. He was not thrilled at drop off, but after an hour or so I called to check on him as the director suggested, and he was doing great. He was interacting, and doing better. He ate most of his lunch, took a one hour nap and loved computer time. He played outside twice and the best part of the day was when I went to pick him up. Miss Meredith called to him as they were outside for playtime, and he came running full speed ahead to see me. That felt good. Wednesdays he has outside water play in the morning, then the usual routine throughout the day. Thursdays are his swim lesson days from 9:00-11:30, with rest of regular day to follow I hope he does ok there and cooperates nicely. He did great on his first full day of camp/school. Yay!!
Brady's Award Ceremony
Roosevelt Island Tramway June 21
As I’ve heard this is to be taken down by 2010, it is something I have wanted to do for a while now. Also wanted to see Roosevelt Island since it was mentioned in the movie Dark Water (2005) with Jennifer Connelly. After Liberty state park, we took the ferry to Manhattan and headed up to 59th & Lexington to find the tram. We ended up taking the F train to Roosevelt Island so we only rode the tram back to Manhattan. It was $2.00 each way, but we used our Metro cards. The view from the tram across the river was beautiful. I cannot wait to take the boys. I think Brady and Andrew will love it. For history see:

This KID Kills me....
Ok, here is my Drew Drew doing what he does best; singing Hannah Montana songs. I think I may have quite the performer on my hands here. Tanner and Brady refuse photos taken at all costs, but Drew is happiest in front of a camera. I love it. Way to go buddy!
Fun at the Park
It is an absolutely gorgeous morning, so Drew and I decided to go to the park for a while. He had so much fun climbing on everything. While were were there a huge blimp flew right overhead and he flipped out with excitement so I took a photo for him. The blimps dock at our small little local airport down the road a bit so sometimes we drive by and get to see them up close. They really are gigantic. We had a nice time playing.
8th Grade Graduation
Last night I spent 2+ hours at the middle school for Tanner's graduation ceremony. We had pretty good seats. I could not figure out how to change the properties on my digital camera so the only photos that turned out were from my Blackberry. None of the photos I tried to take of Tanner turned out. It was a good ceremony though. All the class addresses were great and inspirational. Tanner looked great. Wish he would have allowed to take a picture. Oh well.

Mom Stuns Audience....
Ok, yes i realize this is ridiculous, but I have an addiction, and it is called Guitar Hero. I have been playing ever since my sister brought the computer version home. I played and played and finally bought it for PS2, and lemme tell ya, I am a natural. I have since purchased 2 other versions, and have completed all the songs on the discs. Well, this is a photo accomplishment of my highest note streak ever in a song, 541! Before this my highest was low 300's. HA HA! Yes, moms can play video games and beat them.
It's Official...
Andrew is set and ready to start at Goddard for their summer camp program. He will attend 3 full days a week, including individual swim lessons on Thursdays at our local pool. He will be bussed to pool and then bussed back to campus for the rest of his day. This summer program is so he can acclimate to being there 5 full days a week starting in September, when I start my nursing program. This is a most amazing school/ daycare. They have the top educational curriculum in the country. I am so excited for him, as is his daddy, and rest of family.
My Boys SHINE!!!
I am pleased to announce, and beaming with pride, that both Tanner and Brady have been nominated for, and WON awards for excellence in school performance. Tanner is receiving award for Social Studies Student of the Year for 8th Grade. Brady won 6th Grade Student of the Year award, accompanied with a $100 savings bond. Both boys have ceremonies to attend. I am so proud of them for their achievements. WAY TO GO BOYS!!! I love you.
