Flooding in NJ

Well, we have had some interesting weather the last few days. Our river (Raritan) is up over 6 feet from where it shouuld be. Roads are closed everywhere. Neighborhoods are flooded, parks adjacent to river are under 2-3 feet of water. These are photos I took at a local park adjacent to the river right by our house. The green bridge is a road. This is the river I take Drew to when he wants to throw rocks. We stand under this bridge and have about another 6' clearance above us. As you can see, there is less than 2' now. Pretty scary. The telephone pole is also about to fall down in the 2nd shot. The power outage did not effect us thank goodness. The trees in the photos are on the river bank on a grassy area. This grass is about 30-40' from river bank to parking lot. You can see they are in 2' of water now, with huge chucks of ice floating by. The 3rd photo is of the farthest end of the parking lot. I pulled in the lot to get a good shot and rolled down windows to look at water level, and my 17" tires were nearly completely under water. Drew was scared so we high tailed it out of there. It was very weird looking out window and seeing the river running past us from the parking lot. Rain has stopped today TG and levels are dropping slowly.
